Mendelessohn


Concert I

Celebrating the 200th birthday of Felix Mendelssohn, Dr. James Jirak will lead the Chorale in a performance of Mendelssohn's Magnificat, a composition written when the composer was 13 years old! Also on the program will be Mendelssohn's beautiful setting of Psalm 42. Both works employ an expanded orchestra with strings, full brass, doubled woodwinds, organ, and timpani.

Concert II

Chorale will perform Handel's Messiah, also with full orchestra and soloists. This music is as timeless as the holiday itself, as the audience experiences a joyful celebration of universal proportions.

Students of all ages are free with ID.

Westward Expansion


Concert III

the Boise Master Chorale will offer a significant change of pace when it presents Westward Ho: Cowboys and the American West in Song.  Hear the Chorale  sing about the "Corral" and other icons of America's westward expansion.
